Activity accessible through free membership.

Join us on this journey to discover wild and medicinal herbs.

Let's learn to harvest them with respect and gratitude, to understand their beneficial properties, and to transform them.

One flower can be picked and another cannot...
Would you like to learn how to tell them apart?

Come on June 22 and 23, 2024,
when many plants reach the peak of their balsamic phase and their full beauty, spreading enchanting fragrances through their blossoms.

  • We will learn to recognize, gather, and preserve the herbs that nature offers us.
  • You will learn to become self-sufficient by harvesting wild herbs that can be used in cooking and by transforming them into precious natural remedies for the well-being of body and mind.
  • Together we will create workshops with herbs and learn how to use all the required materials.
  • We will learn to respect nature through ancient gestures that are, even today, timely and revolutionary.

You will acquire practical skills to take care of yourself and others in a natural way.

You will learn to value natural resources and live in harmony with the environment.

It will be a wonderful opportunity to share quality time together in a place surrounded by greenery, nestled in the Pisane hills in Casciana Terme Lari (PI), where the land is cultivated according to the principles of the Ayurvedic tradition.

We will enjoy a sensory experience through direct contact with the plants.

You will take home not only the preparations and remedies made during our time together, but also a rich wealth of new knowledge to apply in your everyday life.

Theory and Practice

  • We will deepen our knowledge of plants: we will focus on some of the most common herbs and explore their active ingredients in greater depth.
  • You will actively participate in the harvesting of aromatic herbs according to specific ethical principles and with respect for nature.
  • We will learn drying techniques, methods, and tools to best preserve harvested plants so as not to risk yellowing or mold and to preserve their properties.
  • We will transform plants into natural remedies such as infused oils, tonics, and wild ferments using a single type of plant according to ancient traditions.
  • We will prepare herbal teas and other remedies with the herbs gathered during the course.
  • We will make bay-leaf pillows and bundles of other harvested herbs for aromatherapy.
